"Though Azrael might have represented death and final judgement among those at war, he retained his original attributes elsewhere. Well known for his devotion to family, his fidelity and his love of children, he was one of seventy Angels that were called upon for child-birth (Sefer Raziel), and he was also called upon for matters of Love. The division of the 'three kings' (leaders of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism), separated much of Azra's material and because of that, and the mystery that surrounded his death, it was nearly impossible for anyone to trace the progression of his legacy, from his humble origin to his exhaultation as the son of God... and beyond! But despite all the fanciful adaptations, they're all reflecting the life and times of a devoted man, and I feel people deserve to know who he really was, so they can learn from what happened that caused all of these imaginative stories, and make an end with the past hatreds and fears that created them. This web-site stands in honor of Azrael. For who he once was, and the beautiful being he became."
