crankiest Research Findings Establish Reincarnation as a Scientific Fact 2005 Dec 06
     ... after death ...
"This controversial statement is backed by thirty five years of research by an engineer who focused on assembling physical evidence to verify Plato's ancient hypothesis by using a scientific approach and the tools furnished by modern technology. 'It was easy to do and any scientific mind can duplicate my findings,' says Joseph R Myers, P.E., a professional engineer with more than 40 years of consulting experience and a W.W.II rank of captain in the Air Force. 'The turning point was finding an hypothesis to use to make an investigation that hinged upon finding physical evidence, rather than examining mythology, religious or superstitious beliefs, children's stories or hypnotic trances,' according to Myers. The hypothesis requires the coordination and comparison of a vast number of elements, which could not possibly occur by chance or be produced or duplicated fraudulently. Possibly the most amazing aspect regarding this reincarnation hypothesis is that it dates around four hundred years B.C., and is very specific. However, it could not be demonstrated conclusively until modern technology brought the development of photography and the ability to draw upon centuries of historical data regarding individual lives. Very Briefly, the hypothesis simply states that the soul-entity returns in a body similar to its last one and has the same inclinations, natural abilities and talents."

"Dying is as natural as being born. Immortality is a natural physical phenomenon. The study of immortality is an area of science, not faith. Scientific proof has existed for over a century that we all survive the death of our physical bodies, irrespective of our religious beliefs. The Campaign for Philosophical Freedom is working to achieve a philosophical balance in the media, and to increase public awareness of the existence of scientific proof that we all survive death."

cranky Parapsychology and personal survival after death 2001 May 28
     ... paranormal . psychology . after death . conspiracy ...
"When the Society for Psychical Research was founded in 1882 research into phenomena and experiences suggesting personal survival of man after death took a high priority. Its findings were constantly under fire from the scientific establishment, which frowned even upon the notion psychical research being considered a science -- after all paranormal phenomena did not exist at all! A belief still cherished. Investigators of the SPR became so influenced by these attacks and were so eager to find favour in the eyes of their antagonists that they began to take over their condemning attitude. A common psychological trait -- the oppressed identifying themselves with the worst characteristics of their tormentors. Supernatural phenomena are still being dismissed by the academic community. Influenced by recent breaktroughs leading to an explanation of some mysteries, they have come to the conclusion that science will explain all eventually. Scientists, who would not dare to trespass in fields outside their speciality for fear of being torn apart by fellow academics, feel free to make all sorts of pronouncements in the media on subjects in the domain of parapsychological research, of which they have no knowledge of whatsoever. Like in all other areas of science, parapsychology has narrowed down its research to specialist sectors, hardly anyone daring to voice an opinion on general issues."

"Sylvia is truly on a mission for God. Simply put, she is determined to show the world that the soul survives death. In addition she wants to emphasize that God, both Father and Mother God, are infinitely loving Beings, not full of wrath and hate as represented by many of today's religions. Sylvia feels that all people can reach God by knowledge and reason, rather than relying upon faith alone. For any question your mind can raise, God will provide an answer; the trick is being able to understand that answer -- which Sylvia does on a daily basis, and it gets stronger and stronger with each person she counsels."

"An after-death communication (ADC) is a spiritual experience which occurs when you are contacted directly and spontaneously by a deceased family member or friend, without the use of psychics, mediums, rituals, or devices. ADCs offer dramatic new evidence of life after death. The ADC Project was created in May, 1988 to conduct the first in-depth research of After-Death Communications. The founders, Bill Guggenheim and Judy Guggenheim, interviewed 2 000 people who live in all 50 American states and the 10 Canadian provinces. They collected more than 3 300 firsthand accounts from people who believe they have been contacted by a loved one who had died."
