"There are many people out there who haven't made a decision for Jesus yet. Some are avid believers in UFO's, and/or evolution. Some have involved themselves in strange religions or occult practices and are looking for an avenue to the truth. Some are riding the fence where their beliefs are concerned and some haven't thought about what to believe."

cranky Evolution 2005 Jul 02
     ... evolution ...
"Well, I guess you can make up any kind of a story about how something *might* have happened. But just because it *could* have happened a certain way doesn't mean that it did. Evolutionists make up a story about how something might have happened and then dare you to prove that it didn't. This is not science as I know it. But they seem to have gotten away with this little scam for quite a while with no major challenges from other scientists. I wonder why? Also, when you are talking about gross anatomy, it's probably easier to envision how change could occur through a small series of intermediate steps. However, when you're talking about complex biochemical processes that are in delicate balance and will not work without all the components, it's a little harder to explain it in terms of gradual modification."

crankiest An Evolutionary Manifesto 2005 May 04
     ... evolution ...
"Among those questions are the following: Is evolution finished? Is sexual reproduction incapable of supporting evolutionary change? Is selection, natural or artificial, incapable of producing new life forms? In contrast to the Darwinian view, has evolution proceeded by means of leaps (saltation) rather than gradually through intermediate forms? Is there an alternative to Darwinism which, unlike that hypothesis, is compatible with all the facts revealed by paleontology, embryology, cytology, taxonomy, physiology and genetics? Do internal factors have a role in evolution? Is evolution irreversible? Is the individual, rather than the population, the instrument of evolutionary change? Are there laws governing evolution? Is there compelling evidence that evolution (phylogeny), like the development of the individual (ontogeny), involves the release or derepression of preformed information? Finally, the most controversial question of all: Has evolution been guided? With the exception of the last question, to which no certain answer will probably ever be given, I will answer yes to each of these questions."

illucid End of the World 2005 Feb 12
     ... apocalypse . evolution ...
"The world will end soon, only 5 FIVE, generations left for civilised MAN. I would like to extend the theory of evolution, life in the universe is based on the following pattern. ... MAN does not know it but his DNA is very week, although the dominant species. MAN realizes that without evolution, their DNA is becoming unstable. The DNA of MAN is very unstable, and MAN realises that HE will become extinct soon. MAN can genetically engineer a comet to send seeds of his him self and his environment into space so that another planet can evolve like the earth did. MAN chooses not to reproduce any more. The cycle continues."

     ... grand unification . evolution . religion . Intelligent Design ...
"Though humanity claims to have made enormous progress both scientifically and spiritually a simple review tells us both these world exist in absolute ignorance of the Reality of Nature. Science has gone out to exploit nature on partial and contradicting pieces of knowledge. It does not explain fundamental questions such as what causes gravity, what is mass, why speed of light is the maximum speed, why uncertainty, why dominant and recessive gene, why triplet code and so on. At the spiritual level, humanity has gone out to exploit human weakness to build organized forces that are fighting fiercely and causing immense misery and destruction in the name of God. Mother Earth is quaking, burning, flooding and erupting under human conquering motive and corruption. This earth and its inhabitants has no hope unless Reality of Nature and oneness reveals it self, and humanity gets into an self order."

"Most people today have learned about the 'theory of evolution' at some point during their grade school years, and assume this theory is fact. Though most people do not know the story behind the theory of evolution, who proposed the theory, why it is called a 'theory', and how this theory is simply that, a THEORY, which does NOT hold water. Below is some information we gathered from different sources on the subject which we feel are true."

cranky The Degeneration of Man 2003 Jul 24
     ... evolution ...
"Mutations are inevitable in human reproduction. Very few mutations are beneficial, probably far less than one in a thousand. The human developed under a severe environment. Beneficial mutations improved survival chances, and deleterious mutations were quickly eliminated by the environment. The result was a high birthrate, high death rate, and a short life, but the process of evolution thereby maintained a lean and healthy gene pool. The human conquered its environment with tools, clothing, shelter, medicine, high food production and compassionate cultures. It gained a long life span and huge population growth. The environment no longer removes deleterious mutations unless they are immediately fatal. The human's gene pool is no longer maintained. The result is a rapid degradation in body and mind due to the accumulation without control of degenerating mutations in the gene pool. The rate of human descent is perhaps thousands of times faster than the rate of its ascent. Unless checked, the modern human (Homo sapiens), as a species, will soon collapse. The degeneration is already apparent."

cranky Descent of Man Theory: Disproven by Molecular Biology 2003 Jul 24
     ... evolution ...
"If the fossil record were not as complete as it now is, the standard evolutionist argument would apply, 'we just haven't found the missing link ancestor of modern humans yet.' ... More recent studies have confirmed the early work, likewise showing that human genetic diversity is far less than what one would predict from Darwinian theory. Dr. Maryellen Ruvolo (Harvard University) has noted, 'It's a mystery none of us can explain.' (4). Examinations of the genetic sequences of diverse modern human populations reveals minor, if any differences (5). All of this evidence suggested a recent origin for modern humans. ... The fossil record indicates an accumulation of relatively rapid shifts in successive species, and certainly not any kind of gradualistic changes. ... 'The deleterious mutation rate appears to be so high in humans and our close relatives that it is doubtful that such species, which have low reproductive rates, could survive if mutational effects on fitness were to combine in a multiplicative way.'"

crankier The Eonic Effect 2003 Jun 19
     ... evolution . history ...
"At a time when theories of evolution are undergoing renewed controversy, discussion is hampered by the remoteness of the phenomenon of evolution, and the use of indirect inference to speculate about natural selection in processes that have never been observed. Adherents of Darwinism often defend textbook versions of the theory that have, in any case, often been held in question. The assumption that evolution occurs, and must occur, by random mutation and (non-random) natural selection is the crux of the dispute, and one unreasonably confused with issues of religion and secularization. The demonstration of non-random evolution in the eonic effect must severely caution Darwin's incomplete theory."

crankier Handy Dandy Evolution Refuter 2002 Aug 15
     ... evolution ...
"But has science proved the case for evolution? To hear the boasts of many in science, education, and the mass media, the case has been proved. One of the purposes for Handy Dandy Evolution Refuter is to show that the scientific case for evolution has not been proved. There is, in fact, a strong scientific case against evolution, and this is automatically a scientific case for the only alternative, creation. In other words, the burden of proof is on believers in evolution, not on believers in divine creation, for God's work of creation cannot be explained by science. Evolutionary science is aimed at explaining how dumb, dead atoms transformed themselves in people in just three billion years. This means that evolutionists must prove that it really happened and also explain with testable scientific theories how it happened. Our little book shows that they have not achieved their goal. Therefore, creation by God continues to be a scientifically acceptable alternative. Furthermore, in the absence of an acceptable, demonstrable evolutionary explanation, all of the marvelous complex designs in living things speak authoritatively for the God of creation."

"This is the newest theory of life. Heard here first. This is a VALID theory and many hypotheses have been tested to prove this a true theory. I call it the Theory of Rockage. Pronounced ROCK-AGE. You may find yourself enlightened or you may choose to stubbornly stick to your unprobven ideas of EVOLUTION or even worse the simple-minded idea taken straight from the Genesis, CREATION. Several new theories have come up in the past century, but with the dawn of a new millenium comes the most sensible conclusion. If you were to come back to this earth in a later life in 3 more centuries, you will find ROCKAGE is the theory that the majority of the PLANET bases its beliefs on. This may seem similar to evolution, but the origins are completely different."

cranky Center for the Study of Initial Bipedalism 2002 Apr 03
     ... evolution . paleontology . anthropology ...
"As a matter of fact, humanity did neither evolve from a branch of the ape-stock, nor from other quadrupedal antecedents. The genus Homo originated from a lineage peculiar to himself that came up from the ocean in remote times [the palaeontologists use the name Homo to specify some creatures like H. habilis or H. rudolfensis: for sure, I only use this appellation in Linnaeus' mind, i.e. regarding Homo sapiens, with his big encephalon and erect stature!]. Humans are indeed, among the vertebrates, the least removed from the ancient prototype, morphologically and anatomically. Man preserved the original orthograde body position of his lineage. This bipedal, former aquatic, form was not only man's ancestor, but also the ancestor of all the today living and extinct mammals, of the birds, reptiles, batracians and of the diverse water vertebrates. ... So, where do we really come from? First of all, we have to disregard the fossil records. Palaeontology only gives us indications about ancient fauna, and shows no evidence regarding the chronological order in which the series of vertebrates and invertebrates should be listed - and how they may have evolved!" In English, French, and German.

anti Thermodynamics for Two 2002 Feb 26
     ... Scientific Creationism . evolution . thermodynamics ...
"Something mighty close to that is what is happening whenever someone tosses out a line like, 'Evolution is impossible because it breaks the Second Law of Thermodynamics.' I know for a fact that I've heard that from folks who haven't a clue what any of the Laws of Thermodynamics are. But they've heard that really impressive-sounding line used in a lecture, or a tract, or maybe one of those tiny little comic books, or from behind a pulpit -- and because it sounds so scientific, they adopt it as one of their one-line slogans that 'disprove' evolution."

cranky The Origin of the Primates Y Chromosomes 2002 Jan 21
     ... evolution . biology ...
"In this article a new analytical method is proposed to classify apes and monkeys according their genetic distances from humans; most particularly the distances in mitrochondrial DNA (mtDNA) . The highly diversified monkey Y-chromosomes play a dominant role in this new method. Mitochondrial DNA is uniparentally inherited as we all know and is passed on from mother to son and daughter. As we shall see, also the mitrochondrial paternal inheritance plays a surprising role with monkeys and is passed on to every new generation by means of the male sperm cell."

anti Evolutionary Tales 2001 Dec 01
     ... evolution ...
"The concept of The Evolutionary Tales arose from two projects completely unrelated to each other: my creation/evolution reference book Dictionary of Science and Creationism, and my modern-English translation (with Eugene J. Crook) of Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales. What more engaging way, it struck me, to present evolutionary theory and the pseudoscientific nature of 'creation science' than through a recasting -- complete with rhymed iambic pentatmeter verse -- of Chaucer's classic?"

cranky Center for Renewal of Science and Culture 2001 Oct 09
     ... religion . Scientific Creationism . evolution . science ...
"Darwinists and others extrapolate such low-level variation into macroevolution, supposing that a grand evolutionary process is responsible for all of life's diversity and complexity. Even here, at the abstract level, it's certainly possible just to define 'evolution' as a gradual process by which God created the beasts of the field and the birds of the air. This is the sort of intellectual negotiation that many religious Westerners make. Their position is often called 'theistic evolution.' And if God is who theists say he is, then it's certainly possible, since God can presumably do what he wants. However, while this position might relieve some cognitive dissonance and help one avoid some fights, it fails to take account of how contemporary Darwinists define the term 'evolution.' They most emphatically do not mean some slow process of divine creation. They mean an unsupervised process of evolution, which draws its creative force from the interplay of random genetic mutation and natural selection. Some may give lip service to processes in addition to natural selection, but they do not allow for any non-naturalistic process, especially a theological one. So one might believe in both 'creation' and 'evolution' given some idiosyncratic definitions of the terms, but one can't believe both that life is created and intelligently designed, and that it is the result of a Darwinian evolutionary process. The two just don't fit."

cranky The True.Origin Archive 2001 Oct 09
     ... evolution . origins ...
"This site provides an intellectually honest alternative to such pro-evolutionism websites as the 'Talk.Origins' Archive. Many proponents of evolution subscribe to a set of naturalistic and mechanistic -- if not humanistic -- philosophical presuppositions, which inevitably adds a fundamental bias to their perspective. This fact (which they zealously deny) severely erodes evolutionists? credibility, effectively disqualifying them from any claim to objectivity in matters concerning origins and science. Much of the material published on the 'Talk.Origins' pages (for example) embodies precisely such a pseudoscientific bias, often articulated under the pretense that it is the product only of purely objective and unprejudiced study."

cranky Babu Ranganathan's Logical Christianity Website 2001 Oct 05
     ... religion . evolution ...
"Is it possible to be scientifically minded and not believe in evolution? Well, it is important to distinguish between micro-evolution and macro-evolution. Micro-evolution which involves biological variations within a natural species or biological kind (such as varieties of dogs, cats, horses, cows, etc.) is truly scientific, but macro-evolution which teaches that biological variations in nature can occur and did occur across natural species or biological kinds (especially from simpler species to more complex ones) is not proven or supported by science even though it is widely taught as scientific fact. The famous nineteenth century naturalist Charles Darwin assumed that because micro-evolution ocurrs in nature then macro-evolution must also be possible, but the modern scientific evidence from genetics supports only the possibility of micro-evolution, or limited biological variation, occurring naturally in living things."

"The cause of the K-T [Cretaceous-Tertiary] extinctions is one of the great mysteries in science, and many scientists have proposed theories to account for it. Theories span a vast spectrum of causes including: sea level change, supernova explosions, climate change, and on and on. Beginning in the 1980s, two new theories became the topic of an intense scientific debate. They are the K-T impact extinction theory originated by the Nobelist physicist, Luis Alvarez, and his team, and the K-T Deccan Traps volcanism-induced carbon cycle perturbation extinction theory which I originated, which, for short, I call the volcano-greenhouse theory."
